Caldwell County Donations for Firefighters Shared in Gatlinburg

Bethel Colony Volunteers

Bethel Colony Volunteers

Caldwell County residents, businesses, schools, and churches generously donated thousands of items two weeks ago for use by the firefighters fighting wildfires in Burke, Watauga, and other areas around NC. As our fires were contained and firefighters were reassigned, we found we had a surplus of donations. The men at the Bethel Colony of Mercy stepped forward and volunteered to deliver the water, supplies, and gear left from Caldwell County donations to Gatlinburg for use by the firefighters and rescuers there. Thank you to all the people and groups who donated to help the men and women who have been fighting to save our forests, homes, and lives!
